Hi all, been a while since I was last on here,
Just wanted to keep in touch with this board since I'm holiday-shopping for more items for my SG-1 Desert uniform! Yes, it's still in the works (it's been about two years now since Oct. 2009)...I've been on hiatus, working on other hobbies and spending money at comic conventions and musical instruments. I was even ready to let the whole costume go and move on, but I just love the show too much and feel the need to complete just one costume as a tribute and dedication, if not to wear at conventions and fan gatherings.
Anyway, I'm really sorry to see this show go. SGU was the last of the series, but also the most creatively different. I guess old-time fans are moving on to other things, but I'm gonna miss it.
Personally, I liked the show even though I know a lot of people didn't. It had things the others didn't plus I was a fan of the cast!
I remember seeing the cast at the san diego comic-con premiere in '09 and I even won a couple of posters. I have a lot of good memories from its premiere, and for the most part I thought SGU's reception was a positive one!
At least, they managed to make the last episode a good one. It had the right tone to it and I felt a sense of closure.
