Looks like the new Stargate movies are not going to get made. This is according to Dean Devlin who complains that the state of the film industry is too hostile towards independent thought. Apparently he expected to be able to make the trilogy his way and not how industry executives want it made.

This is unfortunate because the franchise will more than likely go into limbo until Devlin can make his trilogy of films. Which means that the prospects of getting a new TV series are indefinitely on hold.

Well that sucks, I was really looking forward to it.

Problem with the new movies and any new series .. They would have started from the end of the first movie and not factor in of the "canon" series...
