Here's an "Is it real, or is it a prop" question. The earbuds that they use on Stargate Atlantis and on the battle cruisers; are they a prop, or is this a real piece of equipment that I could buy?

You can certainly buy wireless radio earpieces (here's an example), but I haven't found one yet that looks like the one on Stargate.

Most commercial ones are light tan to blend with skin (as their main use is surveillance), but on Atlantis they are clear plastic.





Most clear earpieces that I've seen come with either an arm that goes over the ear or a coiled cord. So, this could be something the studio made, but I'm willing to bet that it's based off of a real model.
