Children of the Gods

Has anyone picked up this DVD? Being a fan of RDA I picked it up...but I'm not a fan of the editing that was done, certain things trimmed, other things added...
***SPOILER ALERT***
a woman Jaffa as part of Apophis' guards? I thought the male Jaffa went to fight the wars of their gods while the female Jaffa stayed at home to defend against invaders, should something like that happen...is Brad trying to change something that has been accepted as "canon"? If that's the case and you agree with me, do we need a vote to send him over to the folks trudging Star Trek through the "re-imaging grinder"???
