How Do You Keep a Big Final Project Moving When Motivation Drops?

I’ve noticed that larger final projects are usually not difficult because of one specific task. The harder part is keeping the momentum going for several weeks without losing track of what still needs to be done.
What helps me most is breaking the project into smaller checkpoints instead of thinking about the final submission all the time. I normally separate research, planning, drafting, revisions, and final checks so each stage feels more manageable.
I was also reading some guidance around capstone project help and it reinforced the idea that having clear milestones early can prevent a lot of last-minute confusion.
For anyone who has completed a large final project, how did you keep yourself consistent? Did you use weekly targets, daily tasks, or just work whenever you had enough time?
