If you’ve been tearing up the neon-drenched streets of Tokyo or drifting down the winding mountain passes of Mt. Fuji in the newly released Forza Horizon 6, you know how crucial Skill Points are. They unlock car masteries, bank XP, and ultimately lead to those sweet, sweet Wheelspins.

But sitting there trying to manually scrape together small combos takes forever. To build massive, unbroken skill chains efficiently, you need a strategy built on mechanics, location, and the right build. Here is a direct, no-nonsense guide to farming skill chains easily without wasting your time.

1. Get the Right Tool: The Formula Drift Benefit
Don’t try to farm massive chains in a hypercar that snaps out of control at 200 mph. You want something predictable, heavily weighted toward sliding, and equipped with a built-in multiplier advantage.

A Formula Drift car (like the Dodge Viper or Toyota Supra) is essentially a cheat code for this. Out of the box, these cars have skill masteries that allow your skill multiplier to go up to 7x instead of the standard 5x. When you maximize their car mastery tree using your initial skill points, you also get perks that make the multiplier build up twice as fast and give you a "second chance" shield that absorbs one collision without breaking your chain.

2. The Location: Central Minamino's Flower Fields
While the narrow streets of Tokyo are great for Touge battles, they are awful for farming. One bad clip against a concrete divider will wipe out your hard work. Instead, head to the wide-open flower fields of central Minamino or the open plains surrounding the base of Mt. Fuji.

These areas are packed with small destructible objects (fences, shrubs, crops) and gentle crests. This lets you combine three major skill types simultaneously:

Sideswipe: Drift sideways through a line of bushes or fences.

Air / Kangaroo: Get consecutive small jumps over rolling terrain.

Drift / E-Drift: Keep the car sideways continuously.

3. The Math Behind the Chain
The maximum number of skill points you can earn from a single chain is capped at 10. Each skill point costs 50,000 total score.

Therefore, your target math looks like this:

$$\text{Target Total Score} = 500,000$$
If you are using a fully upgraded Formula Drift car with a 7x multiplier, you should stop and bank your chain the moment your base score hits roughly 71,500 ($71,500 \times 7 = 500,500$).

Stop Over-Farming: Continuing a chain past 500,000 total points is a waste of time. Bank it by stopping completely for 3 seconds, let the points tally, and immediately start a new one.

4. Boost with Skill Songs
Always keep your radio tuned to the classical station (Radio Eterna or the local Horizon Japan equivalent). Classical stations feature the longest tracks in the game—often lasting 5 to 7 minutes. When a Skill Song plays, your maximum multiplier instantly doubles to 10x.

During a Skill Song, you only need a base score of 50,000 ($50,000 \times 10 = 500,000$) to max out your 10 skill points. In a dense flower field, a skilled driver can achieve this in under 45 seconds, allowing you to bank 6 to 7 million points—yielding 60+ skill points—before a single song ends.

Shortcuts for Fast Progression
Farming skill chains is highly effective, but it still requires a time investment. If you prefer to jump straight to unlocking rare vehicles, tuning components, and building an elite garage without spending hours drifting in circles, third-party marketplaces can provide an immediate boost. For example, trusted gaming platforms like U4N offer shortcuts like a forza horizon 6 wheel spin for sale, giving you direct access to massive amounts of credits and rare cars instantly so you can focus purely on racing.

A Quick Cheat Sheet for Maximum Efficiency
Step Action Why It Matters
1 Select a Formula Drift car Unlocks the native 7x multiplier
2 Max out the Mastery Tree Grants collision protection and faster scaling
3 Head to Minamino Fields Zero traffic, endless smashable objects
4 Stop at 71,500 x 7 Hits the 500,000 cap exactly; no wasted points
By turning off your traction control, keeping your foot on the gas, and staying away from hard walls, you can easily turn a tedious grind into an effortless point factory.
